Good morning, my friends. It's time to move along again. By this afternoon, we'll be in Branson, Missouri, and we'll be adding another new state to the map. I'm telling you, the thrills never end here at the Traveling Three Cats Ranch. We've enjoyed this state park very much. Mike said this morning that he could stay here longer. But with apologies to Robert Frost, we have promises to keep, and miles to go before we sleep.

We needed to kill some time between checking out of the Hot Springs KOA and checking in at the state park. A quilt shop seems to me to be the perfect way to kill some time. Good morning, my friends, and yahoo!!! Yesterday I added a new state to the side of the RV. It's been months since I added anything to the map. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, okay? Please hold your applause for a bit. 

It was an easy drive from Mt. Pleasant, Texas, to Hot Springs, Arkansas. This was our view for most of the day. We are still surprised at how green it is in this part of Texas. I might have thought we were driving in Michigan or Minnesota.

We'll be heading to Sulphur Springs, Texas, and that will be our last night in Texas before crossing the border into Arkansas. Arkansas will be the first of four new states for the side of the RV.

Good morning, my friends! It was a busy day yesterday with more harrowing driving on these Dallas-Fort Worth highways. We had some errands to run and then dinner with a friend as our plan for the day. With much to accomplish in the morning, we were on the road early. It was raining, of course. The weather was pretty awful for most of the day, eventually culminating in a big wind storm. Today...blue skies and sunshine.

But let's get back to our day of errands. Heading out, Fort Worth loomed ahead.

Good morning, my friends! So y'all are probably wanting to know if the clouds cleared so we could see the eclipse. I'm as happy as I can be to report that we did! It happened in the sweetest spot of a break in the clouds. When I left you yesterday, it was all clouded over, and we despaired about being able to see anything. 

The eclipse wasn't supposed to begin in our area until around 12:38 p.m. I had a few things I wanted to do in the morning. At the top of my list ...
